The project has improved the ecological production of Taali Mesila Ltd, through the purchase of new apiculture processing equipment. At the same time ecological production methods have been promoted within the surrounding region.

Taali Mesila Ltd has been producing ecological honey since 2001 and Taali Mesila has been a worker dedicated to ecological production since 2008. The company is a family run business, in Lääne-Viru county, Estonia, with all four members (mother, father, daughter and son) busy with the day-to-day activities involved in running this rural enterprise.

The enterprise needed new apiculture devices and equipment in order to modernize the production process and to help develop their products and services. With the main aim being the improvement in the quality of ecological production.

The main activity undertaken in this project was the purchase of new apiculture devices and equipment. The main investment was a smelter to separate the honey and beeswax, which enables the enterprise to get a greater quantity of quality honey out of the capping wax.

The investment provided by the project has enabled: - the enlargement of an innovative enterprise; - the continued growth in vitality and sustainability of ecological production in a rural area; - the promotion of ecological production methods in the region.

Through the purchase of relatively in-expensive equipment, rural businesses that produce ecologically are able to expand. This in turn leads to others in the region taking note of their businesses and thus promotes ecological production methods more widely.
