The use of traditional recipes and local products proved to be a successful choice for the new bakery in Přílepy. The business created new jobs in the area and has become a social meeting point for local people.

The increasing demand for local pastries in the Přílepy village inspired Ms Štěrbová to create a traditional bakery by renovating an abandoned coffee shop. Ms Štěrbová’s goal was to open a quality bakery, using local raw materials and traditional recipes. In spite of numerous competitors in the region (bakeries are very common in the Moravia region), the business became very successful receiving the best regional products award.

The main aim of the project was to open a traditional bakery in the village of Přílepy and to promote local recipes and products.

The old coffee shop was renovated and has been equipped with a work area, a storage area, a restroom and offices. Technical equipments were purchased. A number of local recipes were selected, and local farmers were contacted to supply the raw material used in the bakery.

After its first year of activity, the bakery received the "Hanna - Regional - Product" award. The bakery uses only high quality products for which producers can ensure certification or denomination of origin. New jobs were created in the area, and additional ones may be created in the future considering the ongoing expansion of the business.

The quality and originality of the production was, according to Ms Štěrbová, the main reason of her success. Rediscovering traditional tastes and purchasing the raw material from locals enabled the bakery to build its reputation, respecting local traditions and indirectly the environment, using only certified ingredients. The bakery has also become an important meeting place for local people.
