Context: 

The Finnish Forest Centre is looking for partner to cooperate with forest based bioenergy usage. Currently we are working in Tampere region in Finland, but our target is to have international partner for fruitful cooperation. We promote management and utilisation of forests and their biodiversity as well as related livelihoods. We think that forestry based bioenergy is sustainable and local energy source while replacing fossil based fuels.

Project idea summary: 

The Finnish Forest Centre is looking for partner to cooperate with forest based bioenergy project. We promote management and utilisation of forests and their biodiversity as well as related livelihoods. We think that forestry based bioenergy is sustainable and local energy source while replacing fossil based fuels.

Objectives: 

Traditional heat production from small to middle size boilers and operating efficiency are in our scope. We have been working over 10 years with heat entrepreneurship and firewood production. We have knowledge about forest based biomass harvesting and technology. In addition to forest based biomass usage, we are studying hybrid systems, where heat or/and power is produced from wood, solar, heat pump or small scale windmill.
