LEADER 2012_Develop a tourism identity by the touristy promotion of local products

 Develop the tourist attractiveness of the territory,  Supporting the development of local tourist offer of quality  Structuring the tourist offer around a theme original and holder in terms of image, in line with our positioning and customer expectations tourist  Involve producers and restaurateurs in the territory's tourism strategy  Strengthen solidarity among professionals of one or more dies territory and integrate them into a network of actors extended to the tourism sector.

The territory "Haut Béarn" suffers from an identity deficit which has also led to choose a tourist positioning based on the quality of life, the good-live and the good-eat. The promotion of local products wants to be an essential axis of this new tourism strategy. It could enrol in a promotional approach, related to food and culinary heritage of the territory. Today, the promotion of local products is doing, primarily through food events, such as cheese fair, lamb fair or through the European days of gastronomy. However, all these initiatives deserve to be a real tourism strategy, favouring so promoting the cultural identity of Béarn Pyrenees.

Implementation of events or tools involving producers in the territory, but also restaurateurs in the tourist strategy of the territory and aim at :  Promote the products and local know-how,  To develop links between producers and consumers
