GREEN: Global Rural Energy Efficiency Network

The project begins with a thorough investigation on endogenous renewable energy sources potential in each territory, and how they can be developed in order to increase regions’ competitiveness and attractiveness.

Green is about favouring the use of renewable energy sources development and adding energy efficiency values in rural territories. It is a development approach that brings the energy intelligence concept into rural within territorial intelligence framework.

The idea is to set a “GREEN” framework under which each territory studies the energy potential whether it is wind, water, biomass, or sun powered. The partnership is composed of some LAG’s from Portugal, Spain and France. We are interested in extending the project preferably towards the Baltic region.
