LEADER 2012_Active and creative youth

The necessity for the implementation of the project stems from the fact that rural youth often lack the creativity and initiative to contribute to their school environment and community life, in order to make it more attractive. Compared to urban youth, they also tend to have a more limited access to challenging and educative spare time activities. This leads to the situation where many young people leave for bigger cities in search for better opportunities – as they have lost their ties with their native community.

The main objective of the project is to increase the activity, creativity and initiative of the rural youth in designing their environment by means of the training programme and joint activities. During the project cooperation and creative approach are used to support the youth in implementing different ideas and initiatives beneficial to the community. * A competition to select participating schools/teams; * A youth training programme – during the programme the youth learn to notice the needs of their community and school, find innovative solutions and also partly realize some of these within the programme; * Creation of the project’s blog; * Compilation of the brochure with an overview of the project and its results.
