Folklore singing

Local folklore singing choir "Tiilat" is looking for a partner/s from other EU countries. Idea is to switch songs, visit each others events and maybe arrange a small folklore singing festival together in all partner countries. Aim is to get to know the folklore tradition of other countries and make the folklore singing more interesting and attractive to other people.

Tiilat choir has operated over 30 years in Alavus, South Ostrobothnia, Finland. The singers are men and women from approx. 26-58 years old. The songs they have in their repertory are self composed and the lyrics are based on traditional poems and texts.

Activities: changing songs, joint concerts, visiting each others summer events, organising for example a small folklore singing festival.
