Creation of active society in densely populated suburban municipalities

Three Local action groups-Sernikon (Carnikava municipality), Ropazu partnership (Ropaži municipality) and Zala Varna (Garkalne municipality) from Latvia are looking for cooperation partners from other countries to underpin the development of common international cooperation projects. All municipalities located close to Riga (capital of Latvia) are densely populated suburban municipalities.

Our Local Action Group’s main activities are: • to improve the quality of life of citizens; • to contribute the availability of the required services for citizens; • to support the initiative of the local citizens, involving in public activities. Within international cooperation projects the Local Action Groups have access to funding from the European agricultural fund for rural development and the European Fisheries Fund

The Latvian partnership as main cooperation on cross-border cooperation projects offers: 1. cooperation in the culture, arts and crafts; 2. cooperation in involving of the young in the business, including fisheries; 3. cooperation in the field of sport; 4. cooperation in environmental protection problem solving; 5. cooperation in creation of the environment friendly for people with functional disabilities/disability.
