This workshop package, prepared by the European Commission/DG AGRI, is an opportunity for groups of rural citizens to explore their ideal vision for the future of their own rural area. It is one of the channels for rural people to contribute to the European Commission's Communication on a Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas.
Language versions are covering the majority of EU languages.
To be taken into account in the European Commission’s work on developing a Long Term Vision for Rural Areas, the results of the workshop should be submitted by 31 January 2021 to EC-RURAL-VISION-WELCOME-TO-OUR-RURAL@ec.europa.eu and eventually also other channels. More information is provided in the Script. The workshop package has been used extensively in local workshops as part of the consultation prior to the publication of the Communication on the Long Term Vision. However, local citizens may still find it useful to develop their own local vision.
The common Aggregate harvesting sheet for synthesising the results of the workshop discussions at the national level was prepared by the ENRD CP for a specific use by Network Support Units and can be downloaded here.
