LAG is located within the territory of three municipalities: Belovo, Septemvri and Velingrad. Geographically, the area is located between the Rila mountain range, the Rhodopes massif, Sredna Gora mountain and the Gornotrakiiska Lowland. The average altitude is 1263 m.a.s.l, the lowest point - 220 m.a.s.l., and the highest - Mount Slavov peak - 2306m. There are three geo-morphological areas that form the specific landscape of this LAG: 1) Srednogorie: includes Sredna Gora mountain; 2) The Rila-Rhodope Massiff: includes the Rila mountain range and Rhodope mountain and 3) the Gorno-Thrakiiska Lowland is a plain located between these two mountainous areas. The LAG is located in the South Central Planning region in the south-western part of Pazardzhik district.
