LEADER 2012_Vocational education and training for rural development Practical experience exchange supported by LEONARDO grant

The proposed project is not a “normal” TNC project. It is a work-related training financed by the Leonardo Programme. We are three committed rural development workers each of us with more than a decade practical experience behind. We work on different fields of rural development however never giving up trying to improve the system is common in all three of us. We are committed to broadening our perspectives on local development and we believe the best way for this is working together. By sharing everyday work, joining in solving thematic problems we all are changing and gaining. For this we are looking for LAGs and NRNs to receive us for working for them for two months.

Our main aim is broadening our perspectives on the ways LEADER works in Europe, including LAG operation, the operation of the National Rural Network but also gaining and providing experience how different rural problems are tackled (rural unemployment, declining communities and rural services, etc.). We would like to share ideas on the possibilities provided in the new legal framework for rural development for 2014-2020. In order to reach this aim we are supported by the Leonardo Programme, which provides funds for non-formal practical projects giving work-related training abroad for adults.

We would like 3 persons to be received for work in the program, 2 persons for 2 month and 1 person for 1 month. We are planning to realize our project in this year between June and November (the most ideal time would be in June and July). As regarding concrete activities we would like to define together with the hosting organisation what would meet their interest the best. The host organisation should assure only the working possibility, the workplace and mentoring activities, such as helping the colleagues to adapt themselves to the local circumstances, to find a friendly accommodation and in other actual matters while in the county.All of us are creative experts, able to work independently so we don’t need a continuous mentoring form your side. In our application we indicated Ireland as our destination, however Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Cyprus, Estonia, the Netherlands, UK etc.
