Connecting regional Cultures

Founded in 2011, projects target is to connect all different kinds of art & culture in real and virtual life. Different meetings and festivals bring artists together, synergy potentials appear and become deployed. In addition all artists, inhabitants and tourists can find the wide range of the local culture in the internet under www.holzwelt.at or facebook.com/Holzweltkultur.

The EU-Leader Region Holzwelt Murau is situated in the heart of Austria, surrounded by wood, fresh air and clean water. One special product of this region is the project „Holzweltkultur“ (wood world culture)

The experiences of the first 15 months of this project taught us that all members of the target group received: • easier connection between artists, consuments and supporters • well informed about art & culture of the region • inhabitants became rooted and self-motivated in being part of this region • tourists learned about the deeply embedded culture of the region • people like to have a professional point of cultural management As we find out every day, that such a regional connection brings a big amount of advantages for everyone in the region, we are convinced that a transnational cultural management can develop such and furthermore advantages for all regions working together.
