Wool production: merino sheep

The LAG aims to import Merino sheep in Creuse (French Department) in order to use its black wool and thus develop a new range of products. The objective is to build cooperation with territories rearing this kind of Merino sheep, especially Portuguese ones.

Ovine rearing is of the traditional resources of the area. That's why Pays de Combraille en Marche LAG is currently trying to set up a wool industry with the support of le Conseil Général de la Creuse and PNR de Millevaches LAG. The Moulin Neuf Mill factory based in Rougnat wants to widen its production by importing Merino sheep in Creuse (French Department) in order to use their black wool and thus develop a new range of products.
