LEADER 2012_TREKKING PATHS IN RURAL AREAS

The idea of this transnational cooperation has to do the use of nature in such a way that does not alter it. We have been working on crating trekking paths in our island for the past 6 years, and we have come to realize that it is important to get as much knowledge and experience as possible so that we can foresee the future of this endeavor based on the experience of other LAGs.

We have created so far a network of 18 trekking paths 172 km, signed and mapped. We are looking for partners for a new cooperation or participating in a similar existing one

1. Use of nature in such a respectful way 2. Exploring the attractiveness of an area based on its particularities 3. Getting people from the local entrepreneurial community involved 4. Becoming more extrovert and gain from the experience of other areas
