National heritage: traditional crafts, culinary heritage

In pursuit to preserve local production and share best practices, it is crucial to promote the national heritage (traditional crafts, culinary heritage) between cultures.

National heritage, as an alternative agricultural activity could become more attractive for rural people, would ensure that national heritage products preserve ethnic cultural values. Today, when so many rural people refuse agricultural activity, crafts and alternative businesses could become the main livelihoods for rural people. The LAG of Šilalės district initiates a project to promote national heritage while embracing partners' culture, customs and experiences through the participation in various joint events.

Project objectives: internationat coopertation, cultural cooperation and exchange activities; Target group: craftsmens and society members; Activities: workshops, conferences/seminars, plenairs, fairs.
