LEADER 2012_Tourism - Develop an offer of tourism adapted to disabled persons

The LAG had lead for one year a reflection on the constitution of a global tourist offer (accommodations, activities, services) in the direction of the disabled persons (physical, visual, hearing, mental). An experimentation begins on the territory (part of the LAG) with representatives from: • 6 touristic structures / places of visits, • disabled persons, • financial and technical partners. This experimentation covers 5 aspects: • an audit of the 6 sites (june – october 2012) • an exchange with areas committed on the same issue (we already have contacts with other French areas) • a touristic positioning (November – December 2012) • a training in how to welcome of disable persons • common promotion (spring of 2013). According to the results, the experimentation will be spread to the area

• Prepare for the coming into force of a law on the handicap (2015), • Transform a statutory constraint into an asset, • Affect news clienteles.

We are looking for others experimentation on this theme, especially about: • networking with local partners, • promotional aspect, • training in the welcoming of disable persons.
