LEADER 2012_Integrated vision or model processes in the village development
Village movements in different European countries show the importance and strength of vision or model processes, which mobilize self-organizing activities of village inhabitants. The forms and experiences of such vision or model and self-organizing processes are highly differently institutionalized in different national and regional contexts and offers an interesting field of mutual learning
On the one hand villages of the Wartburg region are successfully by using the public program of village renewal, which include a planning phase with participation of the inhabitants. This planning phase is often quite formally institutionalized and organized. On the other hand the Wartburg region – together with other Thuringia regions - has developed an interesting approach to motivate village communities to act for their own objects. With the initiative of a German village movement, in other European countries already well developed, the RAG Wartburg region tries to motivate village communities to carry out integrated vision or model processes by themselves
- to bring village communities from different countries, which are interested in self-organizing village development processes, in contact - organization of an exchange and intercultural learning about integrated village development, model processes and self-organizing activities between village inhabitants of different ages and social backgrounds - cooperation with existing national village movements and European village movements networks
Village communities from other European countries to exchange experiences and good practices of a participating and self-organizing integrated village development (model processes).
