Learn and discover every day something new- Old Friends Association

The main goal of our joint action is to remain as endogenous, active and thinking people in our everyday life, even though we are getting older every day. Life is so interesting and we are in the best age! Italy is something completely new for us! We would like to meet IT LAGs.

We are an aging (60+) Finnish group with full of spirit and still looking for new experiences in the life.Our group called ”Old Friends Association” was established in 1920 in Kajaani in the middle of Finland. We have done good cooperation with the 100 year old Kainuu College adult education centre for many years. So the association's development could be described as: from sewing club to society of the lifelong learning opportunities.

Our aim is to learn Italian, make friends, discover the Italian culture. In return,we would be happy to tell our own beautiful stories about the Northern culture, show you our fabulous landscapes (lakes, forests, wild life). By co-operation with the Kainuu College we are able to give some advice how to use computer in the everyday communication in our age &we are ready to arrange study tours between our regions. Kainuu College is a comprehensive learning institution educating young and old.
