The development of community shops/ enterprises as a way of overcoming the loss of rural services.

We are supporting the development of a community shop within our LAG area. The community involved initiated this project as a result of loosing a number of local services in a short space of time. As an organization (and LAG accountable body)Northamptonshire ACRE have experience in supporting the development of initiatives such as this. We are interested in working with any organisations or groups who want to share experiences, skills, good practice etc. Or those who are interested in ways of overcoming the loss of rural service provision through community action and involvement.
