International market for regional products

International market for regional products (new event 10 to 12 May 2012 in Le Puy en Velay, France) This meeting is a part of a transnational LEADER project. Some LAGs from France, Poland, Finland, Hungary, Spain and Portugal collaborate to organize different European markets in Europe to create links between persons ands products. The first European market takes place in Le Puy en Velay, a town in the middle of France.

Our LAG “Pays du Velay” organize the 3 Days to exchange ideas and food and to built a strong cooperation between farmers in Europe, to create for example an European network of local producers. The goal is to help building the agriculture after 2013 and to show the important of short channels in each country. Another thematic is about links between local products and rural tourism.

The aim is to find out more about best practice examples of production, marketing and distribution in each other’s areas, to identify and disseminate regulations associated with the transportation of food between partner countries, to pilot trading relationships between partners to market and sell local products across regions and to explore the links between agriculture and tourism.
