DEVELOPMENT OF A LOCAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY CHAIN IN A OPENFIELD AREA

Implementation actions of energy efficiency on the territory by biomass using (biogas production, supply heat for public buildings, ecological building materials…) : - Identification of available or to develop sources on the territory for a local energy efficiency chain (straw, green waste, short rotation energy crop, sewage sludge, hemp, flax, …) - Identification of impediments and beneficial factors in order to set up collective action between local authorities and farmers - local networks

« Pays Loire Beauce » is partly a peri-urban area and characterized by open field agriculture and by the absence of breeding and hedges/woods. The LAG is undertaking to implement from 2013 to 2015 an ambitious strategy politic to tackle climate issues: the recruitment of a person in charge of climate, climate group, researches, actions mainly in the fields of public buildings, housing conditions et agriculture). The LAG would like to target cooperation on biomass actions involving local partnership between local authorities and farming (biogas, heat, eco-materials…). A research on local energies fiels among them biomass will be the base of the demarche. Those actions need a specific and increased animation in order to arouse concrete realizations.

- Methodological exchanges between territorial animation structure to arouse local actions on energy between local authorities and farmers: Actor’s consciousness raising about local biomass benefits, partners networking… - Conferences and study trip with elected representatives and farmers about improvement possibilities to improve local energy efficiency (eco-materials, biomass heat…); - Technical exchanges between farmers groups and agricultural development organism for biomass (short rotation energy crops, …) ;
