The Rescue of the ruins Stara Duba
The aim of the project is to create a study of conservation work with instruction schedule of incremental steps with the purpose of stopping deterioration torso of remains of the castle and making unimpeded visits of this interesting historical site possible. At the ruins of castle Stara Duba, the conservation work of two of the most vulnerable objects is also in the first phase.
The subject of protection is a defunct medieval housing complex of Stara Duba, formed of: the castle, a barbican town below castle Odranec, siege camp and firing positions. The first mention of the castle is from 1350, when the Chapel of St. Clement was built. The demise of the castle and town was in the years of the fights of King George of Podebrady with his opposition. The mention of the conquest of the castle dates back to 1466. In 1525 the castle is described as desolate. The area of the former castle is an important European location for its particular combination of the castle grounds, and town below castle and siege positions. The project aims at its primary mapping, geodetic and altimetry orientation and emergency restoration of vulnerable structures.
The aim is to develop studies and programs for the recovery and regeneration of the cultural heritage of rural historical sites (in the case of this project of this historic landmark).
LAG with a similar intention to preserve cultural heritage on their territory. LAG which has gained experience in this field. Organisations dealing with this issue.
