READING EUROPE TOGETHER

The project : “Le Festival des 7 lunes” would like to develop a special edition in summer 2014 around the theme of Europe. It could integrate a joint-action involving companies or other cultural actors interessed to build a common project about the theme of reading Europe (mixed languages readings, crossing-looks or crossing-speaks,…). The goal is to plan and realize an original cultural event inviting artists and spectators to READ EUROPE TOGETHER.

The LAG’s Territory : The area of « Pays de la Jeune Loire » is a dynamic rural and industrial area. It is situated at the crossing point into the Rhône-Alpes region (near the city of LYON) and confronted with a contrasting demographic and economic development. Its counts 80 000 inhabitants. (find us on the map : https://maps.google.fr/maps?hl=fr&tab=wl) The Project holder : “Le festival des 7 lunes” (festival of the seven moon - www.festivaldes7lunes.com ) takes place in Lapte and Grazac (Pays de la Jeune-Loire, Haute-Loire, Auvergne, France) since 1997. It’s a festival of reading and performing arts.

The goal is to build commonly an original cultural event in 2014 combining shows of theaters companies from different countries dealing with Europe in order to invite local people and spectators to open their mind through discovering new artists, new oeuvres in other languages, and cogitate this way about Europe.
