Develop and value local quality products (agrifood, wood, etc.)
Develop, maintain & strengthen the host of active population in rural areas, developing links between urban & rural areas, promoting local productions. Main objectives: - Found new ideas, answers, experiences; - Reinforce LAG strategy; - Introduce people to the territory, to open new markets; - Implement a concrete project; - Found partners (locals or not) for a new project.
LAG area consists of two parts: one plain & a medium-sized mountain are. There are 2 principal towns & the LAG tries to develop links between those urban centers &rural areas. Agriculture & breeding is an important economic activity. There are 2 quality labels: AOP (protected designation of origin) Fourme de Montbrison (cheese) & Côte du Forez (wine). Timber industry is well developed & being structured. Industrial & craft industrial activities are diversified. Tourism favours local tourists.
Demand of LAG: New ideas to add value for local products; New local commercial channels for local products; Organise channels for quality local products; New ideas to create new channels for quality local products; New commercial outlets. Offer of LAG: Know-how on AOP; Work on animal genetic; Manufacturing workshop for agri. products; Links between local products& the territory; Links between local commercial channels for local products & gastronomy; Quality in food-processing industries etc
