Main Objective: strengthening of the Mediterranean rural identity through the safeguarding and valorisation of local cultures based on the Mediterranean Diet.

SO1: characterization of the MD at a local level on the Mediterranean area SO2: Preliminary analysis and study 2.1 Development, scientific support and analysis of the preliminary study results. The study will be set, discussed and agreed by experts who are part of institutions that have promoted the Unesco World Heritage status award for the Mediterranean Diet. International seminars about the studies carried out will be then held. 2.2 Local studies about the Mediterranean Diet. Each partner LAG will carry out a local study about the local application of the Mediterranean Diet to see what can be implemented.

SO3: Mediterrenean Diet Safeguarding actions -Identification and description of the MD features in the areas involved in the project SO4: Awarness campaigns on a local level -MD days: share of information and best practice for the safeguard and valorization of the MD. The MD days will be held in Turky-Albania-Libano-Tunisia-Egypt-Marocco-North Europe SO5: Food education actions about the DM in Northern European areas involved in the project -Seminars/events to be held by experts, doctors, chefs, food producers and agronomists in schools, gyms, associations, etc. - Tastings events with MD products - Distribution of MD packs information material/comics SO6: Final seminar to be held in Bruxelles to show the final results of the Leadermed project to European Institutions. All project partners can take part in the final seminar to show the achieved results in their own area. -development of a leaflet with the achieved results.
