Preservation of sweet chestnuts
Exchange of experience on the preservation and refinement of sweet chestnuts.
There is a highly concentrated appearance of sweet chestnuts in the region of Mittelburgenland. At present the chestnuts are merchandized on an annual chestnut festival. They are sold as biscuits and cakes (400 kg), chestnut pudding (200 kg) and roasted chestnuts (400 kg).
To use the potential of the sweet chestnut for merchandizing refined products all year long. Planned activity: Research and development of possibilities of preservation.
