Capitalisation on experiences of the development of truffle production
Lot of actors wish to relaunch the production of truffle & look for collective solutions in terms of agricultural practices& rural planning. Possible solutions: The applied research led in Provence and anywhere in Europe allows to understand better the impact of the pedological & climatic conditions on the formation of truffles. These new knowledge could allow to experiment & to diffuse in more large scale of the methods and techniques.
The LAG is located in the Southeast of the French Alps, in the North of Provence. The black truffle here is very present on the Valensole trays & the Height-Var. The annual production of truffles is considerable, but as in numerous European soils, it is in decline for several years. This fall of the tonnages, more&more worrisome, resulted partially from: climate change; modification of the agricultural practices; use of the agricultural and forester surfaces.
The objective is to relaunch the truffles production, which must be collectively clarified in the term of a first stage of dialogue. At first, it is proposed to interested partners to meet in order to define the contents and the objectives of cooperation.This meeting could take place in Provence, on the initiative of the LAG " Confluences around Verdon ".
