Attractiveness of rural areas for youth

The aim is to have an exchange about yourth policy in rural areas.

Some rural areas in Europe are losing their young people - this is the case of the Lower Normandy (France) - what are the factors of attractiveness? How can young people themselves to recognise the strengths and weaknesses of their territory and to invent their future in rural areas?

10 young people (15-18) from Lower-Normandy are planned to make an interview with young people & policy makers in order to analyse& to propose youth policy of the territory in the autumn 2009. (topics to be discussed are: activities, animation, teaching, environment, transportation etc) A video will be prepared to animate debates with other young people in Lower Normandy in autumn & to exchange about youth policy. A meeting can be also organised in partner territories.
