The main objective of this event was to create a space for an exchange of experience between Member States as well as with the Commission as regards the strategic planning for the future CAP. The Seminar paid particular attention to the overall strategic approach, notably the SWOT and needs assessment, building through to links with the intervention logic and some early reflections on the design of certain types of interventions. It also included a feedback session from agricultural and environmental stakeholders on key outcomes of the recent Round Tables on Green Architecture, regarding stakeholder involvement and inputs for implementation of the new CAP.
The Seminar was addressed to experts in the Member States tasked with the preparation and drafting CAP Strategic Plans. The outcomes of the Seminar were a European-level overview of the latest state of play in CAP Strategic Plans preparation plus concrete examples of how the early preparatory phases are being addressed in the different Member States and an identification of the main bottlenecks and challenges so far encountered, of some potential solutions identified in MS to address them and areas whether further guidance or support was needed.
The ENRD Contact Point and Finland’s NRN provided facilitation support for this event.
A summary highlights report of the event will be posted here shortly.
