The need to use more renewable energy and strengthen the energy effiency is part of energy politics on a national and local level. Many communities need also support local renewable energy production.
Communities and businesses have already the basic knowledge of there is a lack of practical solutions and implementation.
The idea is to find ways how to best support the implementation of new technologies and operating models with rural communities and businesses.

Project idea summary: 

The project aim is to guide local communities, households and businesses to increase their energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources. The aim is also to support local renewable and sustainable energy production by exchange and accumulating information.
By creating a network of rural energy knowhow centres, the target is to increase the transnational cooperation between the sustainable energy business and their sub-contractors and stakeholder businesses.

Objectives: 

Objectives: Enhancing the operation possibilities of local sustainable energy industry. Increase the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Strengthen the local energy self-suffiency. A network of energy actors to support the transfer of knowledge and intermediating business cooperation with in sustainable rural energy operators (producers, sub-contractors, stake holders).

Activities: changing best practices, joint knowledge acquisition, introducing experts and entrepreneurs to each other and launching local development processes.
