This was the 10th meeting of the ENRD Assembly's LEADER/CLLD Sub-group, aiming among others at updating members on the state of play of the CAP regulatory framework relating to LEADER, forthcoming deadlines and ENRD activities related to LEADER.
The ENRD Contact Point organised a workshop to explore LEADER’s positive, long-term impacts in rural areas and discuss how its added-value can be maximised in the future through better partnerships, local development strategies, and local projects and initiatives under the CAP Strategic Plans.
This LEADER Thematic Lab explored how LEADER funding and implementation can be made simpler by the application of simplified cost options during the transition period and under the CAP Strategic Plans.
The meeting was an opportunity to update LEADER Sub-group members on the state of play of LEADER implementation and Commission initiatives relating to LEADER, as well as on recent and planned ENRD Contact Point activities related to LEADER.
This LEADER Thematic Lab explored various aspects of designing LEADER under the future CAP Strategic Plans for local community resilience and sustainability. It also considered the potential role and contribution of LEADER and existing LAGs on these themes during the transition period to the new CAP.
