DG AGRI and the ENRD Contact Point jointly organised a workshop on Measure 16 ‘Cooperation’ (M16) on 1 June 2016 in Brussels, Belgium.
The workshop brought together national and regional Managing Authorities, Paying Agencies and DG AGRI Desk Officers to discuss:
- challenges currently faced by programme authorities in the implementation of M16; and
- the wide range of cooperation opportunities that the Measure offers.
Specifically, the event addressed questions related to the legal form of cooperation among beneficiaries, as well as state-aid issues. Experiences with programming and implementing sub-Measure 16.5 from three Member States/regions were also presented.
The event further explored the potential M16 offers for achieving objectives in fields such as sustainability and climate change; competitiveness of the primary sector; farmers’ position in the supply chain; as well as local development and social inclusion.
