Project summary:

The Harbour Cooperation project is an inter-territorial cooperation project aimed at countering the declining trend in the number of overnight tourists in the South Funen Archipelago harbors. The project created a strong network and coherent profile around the common waters of the archipelago, helped develop and visualise the quality of the respective marinas and to create new products that can be a distinguishing feature for the area.

Project results:

The project is expected to generate 8 000 more overnight boat stays 1 year after the end of the project.
The overnight boat stays will result in approximately 5 new jobs based on a daily consumption of 500 DKK / 67 euro per boat.
The project expects to generate an increase in yearly revenue of EUR 335 570 as a direct result of the project at the end of the project period. Two years after the project end, this figure is EUR 536 900.
The project expects to generate an additional 1600 tourist accommodations (outside of the boats).
