Village development

Summary of project idea:

We are planning projects dealing with village development. Village development e.g. offers one way of producing service in rural areas. Services offered by village associations are the main interests in the future in Finnish rural areas, if we want to survive.

Local context in which
the project is going to operate (starting situation):

Pohjois-Kymen Kasvu is local action group situating in South-East of Finland. The nearest city is called Kouvola. The LAG has the development plan, which includes e.g. village renewal and village planning, creating enterprise in tourism and handicraft and finding new models to develop social economy in order to create service and employment possibilities in rural areas.The main target is to create possibilities for living and working in the countryside.
