European Bird-watching Network
The aim of the project is to create a network at European level among partners (LAG, Parks, other associations etc) in order to promote bird-watching as sustainable tourist product, or to focus on bird-watching as a way to qualify, differentiate & make tourist offers of rural territories more attractive with a bend due to the presence of ornithological & faunal protected species. The network creation will allow to LAGs & to other eventual subjects operating in territories with similar characteristics to place themselves in the net & to actuate an exchange of know-how, experiences & best practices with reference to the protection of the ornithological & faunal species present in protected areas & particularly in wetlands, as well as to realize joined actions to promote bird watching.
The area is in the Delta of Emilia-Romagna, consists of 19 municipalities & includes the territories that are part of the Parco del Delta del Po Emilia Emilia-Romagna & some common pre-park or neighborhood & environmental emergencies that have historical & cultural interest. It is a complex environmental system formed by the natural environment, rural & urban areas where there is the largest wetlands of Italy, with a territory formed by valleys brackish lagoons, woodland and shrubs. So co-exist in wonderful balance valuable natural & ancient works of art & culture, recognized by UNESCO.
Creation of a European Bird-watching Network
Ecologist Associations, National and international ornithological organizations, Birdlife International Regional and national Parks, other bodies managing protected areas, other organizations and interest groups.
