The youth and young farmers’ workshop highlighted issues faced by young people in rural areas and to encourage innovative policy actions and youth engagement in the implementation of the future Rural Development Programmes. The event brought together young people involved in rural development and representatives of National Rural Networks (NRNs), Managing Authorities (MAs) and EU and national organisations.

Pilot NSU Training Module 2

The second pilot NRN Training Module was hosted by the Swedish NRN and organized on 14 March 2013 in conjunction with the 17th NRN Meeting.
The theme of Module 2 was ‘Increasing Stakeholder Involvement’ and the entire training day was organized and run within the framework of a new methodology known as the RICA method. A total of 50 participants joined Training Module 2 from 19 networks, including the ENRD - 15 national networks and 3 regional networks.

The pilot NSU Training Programme kicked off with a 2-day training module hosted by the Hungarian NRN on 19-20 February 2013. The theme of the module was ‘Strategic Planning Issues for NRNs’ and a total of 34 participants joined the training from 15 network support units and the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development.
