LEADER 2012_Experiment the production and the implantation of green building materials in the renovation of old buildings

The aim of the project is to enhance the use of green building materials, especially when renovating old buildings.

Since 2008, the overall strategy of action in the Pays Barrois territory is to fight against the greenhouse gases effect and the climate change, through the implementation of a Territorial Climate Plan. In this territory, a gathering of villages named “ Codecom de La Haute Saulx” leads an experimentation center about sustainable development. The aim is to develop the sector of green building materials. The project users would use some buildings provided by The Codecom of the Haute Saulx in order to experiment green building materials in renovation. In this center the Codecom de la Haute Saulx leads also locals partners interested in the experimentation : trade unions of cratftsmen, architects, mayors of communes, environmental experts, etc. which will join the experimentation and which are looking for other territories to cooperate. The Codecom de la Haute Saulx has also spotted local industrial plants interested in testing new products : natural insulator, bio-based clay bricks.
