Organisation of local activities requiring quality and high added value

The main lines of cooperation would be upon a project link on one of the 3 main sectors of the area (agriculture, tourism and sea products) or upon the link and partnership between them. The main objective of the cooperation is to carry out common actions, within one of the above mentioned sectors or with possible links between them. These could be for example: - training; - research programs; - quality approaches; - promotion of territory, local products, production and skills.

The Pays du Cotentin is a peninsula located in Normandy. Its natural resources are well preserved (espec. marshes and pastures).The core of the local economy is based on some important industries like maritime, shipbuilding and nuclear waste recycling.The rural area almost entirely dedicated to agriculture, the coastline support fishing and shellfish farming.Linked to these activities food processing is also important, and there is a stong tourism sector.Though potentials are not well recognised

The aims is to develop a partnership between all these activity branches (tourism, agriculture, sea products) since they can support & enhance each other by developing & using their quality. Priorities structured around threm: • Supporting the quality local product & production; • Developing envirnmental/social good practices at the production, consumption & commercialisation stages (energy saving, easy access to quality for everyone etc; • Promoting and improving the territory by its quality.

LAG from all EU Member States. Given the proximity, cooperation with English LAGs would be appreciated; but any LAG working on local activities would be an attractive partner.
