Boosting rural areas is a primary mission for the province of Flevoland. Thanks in part to European support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the people of Flevoland are able to realise creative ideas and plans that increase the quality of life in rural areas. The documentary follows three LEADER projects from application to completion, and focuses on the experiences of the individuals dedicating themselves to the countryside.

The ‘LEADER Event 2012: Local Development Strategies and Cooperation’ was organised by the European Network for Rural Development in Brussels on 27-28 April 2012. The event brought together around 400 participants – including representatives of over 250 LAGs – to share their experiences, explore further co-operation and take a first look at the possible future shape of LEADER. This video follows the journey of three French LAGs that participated in this event.

The kids follow the entire process from the making of the cream and contribute to the creation of the butterfingers.
