The LAG Pays de Condruses (Wallonia, Belgium) is using its tools - developed via LEADER - to mobilise rural communities and help vulnerable people stay safe in the COVID-19 crisis.
The online platform 'Villages Solidaires' (Solidarity Villages) can be used to connect isolated people with people who can provide help (e.g. buying food) or emotional support.
The social transport service Taxi Condruses, developed to help people with reduced mobility, has been adapted so that the staff can now buy food or medicines for vulnerable people or those in isolation.
The LAG keeps working with the municipalities in the area to support a network of social assistants working on the ground to help vulnerable people throughout these difficult times.
