    Summary

    "WOLF: Wild Life & Farmers" is a inter regional and transnational cooperation project with an wide-ranging set of communication and dissemination tools. The integrated awareness raising campaign is implemented with the support of eleven Local Action Groups (LAGs) Spanish of the Asturias, Castilla y León, and Galicia, more LAGs of Estonia, Portugal and Romania and aims to increase awareness of the general public, encouraging and promoting change in the view that in some sectors of rural areas have about the wolf, and to promote and disseminate compatibility and coexistence between farming and the Wolf.

  • Main purpose

    In order to reach the well defined target audiences, the awareness raising campaign proposes a set of communication and dissemination actions as follows:
    -Creating a fresh visual identity declined on all conceived information/dissemination materials;
    -Creating a multilingual website, hosting information about all involved parties and developing a reach publications and media gallery;
    -Sectorial/regional seminars with interested parties;
    -Organising a mobile exhibition to show the different realities for wolves in each different area involved, including their biology, distribution and behaviour, as well as their history and customs;
    -Organising informative days in schools for children;
    -Deploying various regional and national seminars.

    Some of the characteristics and content of the multi-lingual Web site (Spanish and
    English) are:
    • Presentation of the WOLF project (regions involved, methodology, references,
    contacts, etc.).
    • News: keep visitors informed about the latest news and the current situation of
    the WOLF project.
    • Accessible to everyone: provide content on the Web site that is of interest to the
    different sectors involved in the WOLF project.
    • Interactivity: facilitate the connection between regions and visitors by creating
    a travel journal in which each visitor can document their experiences, highlight
    points of interest, give the location of sightings and tracks, add photographs,
    etc.
    • Other information that is of interest to the WOLF project.
