Main purpose
he objective of the conference was to give an overview of live rural and agricultural policy developments, particularly of the new challenges the European Union and the world have to face, and to improve the dialogue between rural entrepreneurs/agricultural producers and politicians. The intention was to open the subject of the future of the EU Common Agricultural Policy and food security as widely as possible.

The conference, benefit of 170 participants, was designed as an one day event, with three simultaneous workshops conducted after the plenary meeting, talking issues such as: food security, environment and climate change and territorial balance.
