Summary
This leaflet produce in Malta provides summary information about the principles and requirements of cross compliance for potential beneficiaries of Pillar 1 direct supports and Pillar 2 investments. Cross compliance puts particular obligations on farmers to comply with certain requirements in the areas of public, animal and plant health, environment and animal welfare or they risk reductions of or exclusion from direct support. The leaflet takes account of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reforms during the first decade of the 21st century, and presents the relevant information in a user-friendly, digestible way, with references to further information for those interested.
