  • Main purpose

The main aim is to share information with rural development stakeholders on the array of RDP projects currently being funded and in so doing – potentially to inspire others to start up projects of their own. It is an effective PR tool on the very ‘real’ application and importance of rural development funding for rural communities in Estonia. The database is also a means of acknowledging the hard work and efforts of those managing these projects in rural communities, throughout Estonia.

This is an online database, which can be accessed easily through the homepage of the Estonian NRN website. The database is also promoted through the ENRD.

    Assessment of effectiveness

Information on the projects is comprehensive but presented in very ‘user-friendly’ format. In particular, the section on ‘lessons learned’ provides valuable supplementary information that may help others to avoid similar issues or pitfalls. The diversity of the projects helps to promote the range of thematic areas, for which funding is available. The database also covers a wide and balanced geographic spread, within Estonia.
