    Summary

    The annual conference of the Austrian National Rural Network has a special thematic focus each year to discuss areas of high priority for the Network's broad stakeholder groups. In 2009 the theme was "wider rural development", "biodiversity" in 2010 and "competitiveness" in 2011. Target groups are all rural development stakeholders within Austria and very often wider Europe as well. The conference is an important communications tool of the Network, complemented by other tools and means throughout each year as appropriate.
