Summary
At a time of urbanisation, rural dynamics continue to assert themselves everywhere, this seminar brought stakeholders together to imagine audacious public policies that support territorial dynamics. The actions discussed were those which add value and support the work of the French Rural Network and the successes of rural areas in relation to the European 2020 strategy and its application during the 2014-2020 programming period.

The seminar was developed to share experiences, to exchange information on rural development issues, including land use and agriculture, as well as rural services and entrepreneurship, to enable stakeholders to meet and to learn about the activity of the French NRN.

There was a total of 660 participants and the event took place in the Palais des Congrès of Dijon. Logistical information was prepared before the event and disseminated to participants, including a special website page.

Distribution & Promotion
Before the event took place it was promoted in the French NRN newsletter and on their website as well as being promoted through the regional rural networks. After the event, the results and outcomes were distributed through a webzine, articles in the newsletter and through videos.
Assessment of effectiveness
Evaluation sheets were completed by 91 of the participants. These demonstrated the value and content of the event which were both evaluated highly. Some participants felt that the event programme may have been a little too ambitious as there was much going on with possibly too little time for discussion. The forum groups were particularly well received and a series of useful conclusions drawn.
