Summary
A partner-seeking meeting was held in Hungary for Local Action Groups of the Carpathian Basin, 6-8 March, 2013 at Bugyi. The event was organised together by the Ministries of Rural Development and National Economy and the Hungarian National Rural Network. It brough together participants from Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia and Ukraine and emphasized the importance of international experience and expertise related to rural development approach through LEADER.

Main purpose
The three-day-long event had as main goal to facilitate partner search for the participating representatives of Local Action Groups. For those already cooperating, it was intended to help in formulating concrete co-operational projects. It was a good mean to highlight benefits of partnership projects and to share experience among local producers, local stakeholders and initiators of cooperation projects.

Technical information
The 3 days event’s agenda had a highly participatory character, and proposed open space moderation and workshop techniques. There were also various presentations held and cooperation cards used, that facilitated match-making of interested partners. Additionally, a video was made that depict overall atmosphere and offers testimonials of the participants regarding the scope and benefits of the event.

Distribution & Promotion
Invitations for the event were distributed accross Carpathian Basin countries and related institutions. Video from the event was uploaded to Youtube and embedded into the NRN website and Facebook page.
Assessment of effectiveness
The event was considered as successfull and resulted in establishing connections and exchanged knowledge between participants. New coooperation projects followed up this meeting.
