Main purpose
To celebrate 50 years of the Common Agricultural Policy and demonstrate the value of the CAP to the general public. With this brochure the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries aimed to inform the general public about agriculture and horticulture in Flanders, in the past, present and future - including the importance of the CAP. The objective was to demonstrate how the CAP has not only helped Flemish agriculture - but how it has also directly benefitted the general public, by ensuring a provision of fresh, healthy and natural food products - perfect for Flemish cooking.

Distribution & Promotion
Representatives visited the five Flemish provinces over the summer of 2012 to distribute the brochure at the 'Well Done - A portion of Agriculture on Your Plate' mobile display. The display was informative and interactive and ideally suited to the wider distribution of the brochure to the general public. The brochure is also distributed on the Flemish Rural Network website and agricultural fairs.
Assessment of effectiveness
A highly effective promotional tool which cleverly demonstrates the 'farm to fork' link and the importance of the CAP for the general public. This attractive brochure is aimed at a general audience - and the inclusion of well-presented and diverse recipes perfectly targets this group. In particular, by creating something that people will actually want to keep and use - this ensures that the positive messages of the campaign continue to be recieved in the homes of Flemish people.
