Summary
The brochure is a guide in using social media in order to make rural businesses more visible, to attract new customers, to find new partners and network with fellow entrepreneurs. A large part of the multifunctional agricultural sector is focused on the provision of social services (daycare, rural spa, children visits, activities with elder people, etc) and thus, contact with the public becomes essential. Here comes the role of social media, as people tend to use more and more internet based media channels. The brochure is conceived as a roadmap describing the necessary steps to achieve objectives. Several examples are presented, in the form of short fiches, containing the inspiring experiences of several farmers who used the social media tools in developing their businesses. Tips and tricks are added, together with advices from experts in communication and in social media, experienced in working with farmers shops and in farming education.
