    The Larnaca District Development Agency (LAG) Facebook account accounts for more than 70 friends since it was launched early 2012. It is used to promote local regional businesses by either sharing links to articles posted on other websites (like, for example, the one related to a beekeeping business), or by disseminating information about their own events, or posting about awards they win. For all these friends are invited to comment and add to share their own information and this social networking platform becomes an important place for relevant debates and experience sharing.
